The band is pleased to announce that we have reduced the age of joining to 13 years of age.

All member's under the age of 16 must have a parent sign an approval form before they can join.

The band has had a lot of enquires for younger person to join and we hope they get back in touch full tuition will be given to all new members.

MEMBERSHIP

Like all bands Volunteer Sean Mcilvenna RFB requires members to function as a band, without them we wouldn't exist so the band is always keen to take in new members, young and old, to preserve and promote the band as well as Cairde na hEireann, for the present and the future.

To be a member you don't have to be able to play a flute or drum just have the desire and the commitment to learn how to do so our you can join our colour party.

Teaching

We will teach new members to play an instrument and to understand music even if they are an absolute beginner. All that we ask in return is they give 100% commitment to the band.

Trial Period

When a new member joins the band they are given time to settle into the band to see if they like the band's set up etc, this is a safe guard for the new member and the bands benefit as it gives the new member the opportunity if they want to stay or move on, with out having committed them self to the band.
